Art-O-Matic

Art-O-Matic is a large month-long installation project by more than 300 artists, musicians and performers. It is held at Waterfront plaza (formerly the Waterside Mall) at 401 M St. SW. Conveniently positioned atop the Waterfront/SEU Metro Station on the Green Line (parking is also available on-site). It's open 12 to 12, but closed mondays and tuesdays.

Dustin Smith's exhibit is on the third floor just left of the stairwell. Listen for the music. He's working as a gallery assistant on November 8, 2002 at night (you have to donate 15 hours labor to participate) if you want to swing by then.

Sara Sathya invites everyone to their blacklight performance, "Anesis" on November 9, 2002 at Art-O-Matic. It will be a short peice performed on the dance stage at 21:30 pm, so you'll have plenty of time to check out the installations.

Washington Interns Gone Bad will be having a local premiere gala there.
