Bloede's Dam According to Peter Johansson, "The Bloede Dam is not the first hydroelectric power plant in the US. It is, however, first known instance (worldwide) of a submerged hydroelectric plant where the power plant was actually housed under the spillway. Up until fairly recently, the interior of the spillway was still accessable from the ground. The ground level access has since been sealed off, but the inside might still be accessable if you swim under the waterfall."
