September 24, 2002 I held Box for the second time today, which was a bit less nerve-racking than the first time, for both me and the snake.
There's still that little issue of food, but it's been the 10 days that Dan Shaw suggested, so I'm fairly confident the snake will be all right if I pick up something in Towson tomorrow on my way to UMBC.
At the end of my commute this evening, I find that the kids in the neighborhood are using our front yard as the end of their bicycle speedway. They asked Suz this morning if they could do it. When she told them they couldn't, they told her that the former owners used to let them, so why not? I don't want to be the grumpy old man about this, although it's a good thing I don't have any caltrops lying around my office to sprinkle in the front yard. At least when I park my car in the driveway they can't do it anymore.
This from the man who bought his house a month ago and still hasn't mown his lawn.
Made some major revisions to the CSS on the Epistolary site today and actually managed to get Suz envious of my design prowess. The picture on the top is of Peter and Kathleen's Sensorium dome taken at the last Playa del Fuego, and the one on the side is a picture of me spinning staff at Steve and Donna's house, taken by Dale Ghent.
Also had the first prototype meeting of the new KCI Technologies, Inc. web page, which got met with a fair amount of praise. We'll be doing design elements all through the rest of the month and most of October until the Group Managers Meeting, and then roll out the page to commemorate 15 years of employee ownership.
Got class at UMBC tomorrow night, so it'll be another long day.
