I'm apparently allowed to use my weapon to defend my livestock on my property under the law, but I'm not allowed to have any livestock on my property, so that's a problem.

There was a story I heard not too long ago about a woman in Baltimore County who was advised by police to use a shotgun to defend her emus against the neighbors dogs, and did!

I seriously need to find out if its apocryphal or not.
