Thank you for writing your recent letter to Janet Reno, drawing more attention to the questionable nature of the Carnivore investigation and the so-called independent academic review.

Hopefully this will open the door to a closer examination of the system at large, and the negative effect the Carnivore system could have on executive branch (FBI) accountability, privacy of citizens and civil liberties as regard the Internet.
