Participating in the Primaries is an important civic duty. Oftentimes, the decisions made by voters in the primary elections directly impact the General Election in November. However, many voters who participate in the General Election choose to skip the Primaries. Don’t be a complacent voter! Get out to the polls and let your voice be heard on September 10, 2002.

Candidates to look at are Bob Ehrlich (R), Ralph Jaffe (R), Spear Lancaster (L), James Lynch Jr. (D), Ross Pierpont (R) and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (D).

The Baltimore Sun has published its endorsements for the September primaries. This includes endorsements for Legislative districts as well as Baltimore County Council and Executive; Howard County, Anne Arundel County and Carrol County.

The Montgomery County Gazette has published its endorsements as well as a very informative voters guide which includes information on candidate's stances on top Maryland issues.
