Attorney General John Ashcroft revealed a plan to remove the freedom and right to due process from anyone arbitrarily declared as an "enemy combatant" by holding them in indefinite detention in camps and military facilities. The Justice Department has already proved it is unwilling to comply with the findings of the judiciary branch of the government in the case against Yaser Esam Hamdi to allow him access to legal counsel, or the requests by the legislative branch on how the USA Patriot Act powers are being used. So who is the Justice Department accountable to?
