The Maryland Green Party is in the midst of a petition drive to maintain their ballot status at the end of the year. They won't be recognized as a party as of December 31, 2002 if they don't gather 10,000 signatures of Maryland registered voters before then. The consequences are that they will lose our ballot line and those who have registered Green will be formally disaffiliated.
