SpamCop The best spam and unsolicited bulk email abuse reporting system out there, owned and operated by Julian Haight. Can be found on the SpamCop web site.
November 4, 2002: SpamCop goes up against Declan McCullagh's Politech mailing list. Declan is a diligent system administrator and has never spammed anyone. The SpamCop blocklist for 216.110.36.217 reports no recorded trap recipients,
spam reports, or relaying reports from his IP, but since "More than 4 hosts in network have spam reports, considering network stats," his IP is treated like a spam source.
Julian Haight then replies that because RackSpace is negligent about policing their customers, Politech and other customers on that subnet have to suffer to give RackSpace the impetus to solve the problem on their network. I fiercely disagree with this new strategy and have stopped using SpamCop for mail filtering.
