This has really been an amazing weekend, just as I'd expect any time I was so close to my love.

The alternative energy fair was an interesting experience, kind of like a hamfest with lots of solar panels and no hams. Actually, I'm a bit bitter about the no hams thing. Here's an alternative energy fair, held on Field Day 2002 where alternative energy sources give you a big point bonus and there is no sation operating from the fairgrounds.

We were a bit unprepared for the reater. We saw a nice lecture by a doctor who explained how solar cells worked anI got a new toy, a solar powered top which when I get back to work will have

I learned a new photography technique that Sara would like. It involves moving around in the 4 seconds, keeping one axis and moving around the subjet in a circle. A couple of my picture came out really good but I'll need more practice to get it right.

Saw BobbyG and Wade and some other folks. Wade is trying to get Suz to stay in Wisconsin.

Trying to figure out how many solar panels it would take it run a web server and modem without any electric cost.

Solar pabels put out about 96 watts and 17.2 volts for $325 (give or take). Aluming a 150 watt server and 5 watt modem would be 155 watts per hour. With four panels at $375 each putting out 380 watts at 17.2 volts.

watts = volts * amps
380 watts = 12 * x
380/12 = x
760 amp hours
